Important - From 6 April 2026, BrightPay Desktop will be available as a cloud service only. You will no longer be able to download or purchase a desktop licence.
When moving from one version of BrightPay to the next (for example, from 2024/25 to 2025/26), you’ll need to download the latest software instead of upgrading from within the old version.
Make sure to import your employer files and data into the new version to keep everything up to date.
This is applicable for the 2025/26 tax year and all previous years, but will not be possible for the 2026/27 tax year and onwards.
From 6th April 2026, you will need an active BrightPay Cloud subscription and must have uploaded your data from the Desktop version to continue processing payroll.
